To do the conversion you will need some basic tools, including a portable electric drill, and realistically should allow between one & two hours to make the conversion. The instructions are easy to follow with plenty of pictures to guide you.

Does it fit both models - bench or floor?

Yes, and we rarely find a drill that is impossible to convert.
The Easy-Riser has even been fitted to very old drills that have a solid column. The owners re-directed the cable so the weight runs beside the wall of the workshop - they were so determined to have the benefits of the Easy-Riser.

What if the top cable pulleys foul the centre vee belt pulleys?

On the odd occasion when this happens the best solution is to change the belt sizes (slightly longer one on the back) so the centre pulley is swung away from the cable pulleys.
