Making a Work Platform

quick_on.gif

The WASP comes with a flat sanding plate designed to be  attached directly to your drill table. If you find you are using the flat sanding function often, we recommend you discard the supplied ‘Tee Bolt' and make yourself a sanding platform like the one shown here. Its quick to get into use and quick to get it out of the way when the job's finished. The extra convenience makes it well worth the effort to make.

If you make your platform too big it may not sit steadily on your drill table. Avoid having to use fixture devices like wing nuts - this will defeat the convenience and speed we are trying to achieve.

If your drill work table is square it is even easier. Shown below is the underside view of a platform made for another pedestal drill.underside_small.gif
